Jacqueline S. Foreman - Radio Talk Show Host and Author (2009) When it comes to the music of Kevin McGee, words seem almost inadequate to describe his abilty to write a simple lyric and with his mellow, clear and romantic voice turn it into a masterpiece of sound. Even without a record deal, this artist with songs like Gypsies, True To Yourself, and It's Starting--has legions of fans (myself included) that many signed artists envy. So what makes Kevin McGee so special? Yes, it is his talent, his voice, his guitar playing and his ability to put into words what most of us are feeling but can not express ourselves...but there is more to Kevin than just his unique musical gifts and abilities. Kevin McGee is a genuine human being who cares about his fans and the time and thought that goes into each and every one of his songs is testimony to that fact. McGee is hands down one of the best, unsigned singer/songwriter/musicians I have had the pleasure of listening to on my long drives to far off places in my Subaru Forester. Even at stop lights as I have his music booming out of my CD player people ask me "Who is that?" My answer is simple..."It's Kevin McGee, he's amazing!" But you'd better hury if you want to see him play live in small and personal venues because this reviewer believes that soon getting a chance to hear Kevin McGee play live will become increasingly harder as his career continues to soar, taking all of us on a journey to places we can only dream of.
Barnes and Noble - Mark Fitpatrick (2007) It is rare that you find a CD that can take you in so many directions but you are never lost. Upon hearing "Gypsy Tapestries" I feel and hear his influences throughout the album but yet know that it comes from Kevin's heart. Amazing!

Neighborhood Newspapers, Atlanta - Eric Hudson (2007)
Kevin's music has one goal, speaking from the heart. It is a blend that intrigues listeners. Verses of songs like Gypsies may show Kevin's appeal. While he plays a soft acoustic guitar Kevin sings a smooth verse that speaks to the listener: "You were just dying for one last taste of the freedom you had back then / So you went to find the fountain and fill yourself up with youth again." But the rocking side of Kevin comes barreling out of the gate on the opening track of his latest CD, "Gypsy Tapestries." Hitting you in the face with a full frontal assault of crunching electric guitar, "True to Yourself" is Kevin's wakeup call for everyone to live with passion. His super sonic high-tenor notes are filled with adrenaline and octane. Part poet, part emotional rocker, Kevin is the pied piper leading everyone on a musical journey. Always the purist, Kevin says he is just looking to share his soul with the world. And every ear that hears Kevin's music knows one thing: Kevin's soul is beautiful.
